Richmond in New Zealand is quite close to Nelson, it's on Route 6.

There traffic lights when coming from Nelson, or when going to Nelson. There's a gas station where you could try when it's raining. Otherwise it's better to go to the roundabout, it's good both for going East towards Murchison as well as North to Golden Bay.
